Family And Friends

AHC’s focus is to enhance the residents’ sense of dignity and self-esteem by engaging them in meaningful social interactions throughout the day, every day. Both formal and informal activities provide the resident and the caregiver a sense of security and enjoyment.
Families are a vital part of activities at AHC. They are invited to attend all group socials. A Mother’s Day tea is held in May with family invited.

A Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Luncheon is held so that spouses are able to enjoy a “Date Night.
”The community is invited to events such as the Community Fancy Tea Party for local women, outdoor concerts, and senior luncheons. Monthly shopping and dining out trips also invite family members to join in.

Our calendar is posted in the Star Herald (weekly newspaper) Mars Hill news column so that the community is aware of all the activities planned at AHC.

"...We want you to know that we deeply appreciate the care that you have given our wife and mother. We never worried about her while she was in your care because we knew that she was cared for and loved by you all. Words can never express the gratitude that we feel. You all are very special and dear to our hearts. "
